error while changing nis passwd

hai

when i am trying to change yppasswd from client side i am getting a message



error while changing nis passwd
yppasswd has not beeb changed on oxygen

yppasswd is running on server
.....


any one know what is the problem?

Which version of linux is this running on? I know that in certain distributions, this sort of thing is a bit broken.
