Question Email Server

What is the best Linux Distribution for setting up a mail server?

System Config: Intel i7+32GB RAM+1TB HDD
Users: 100+

I will like to use POSTFIX as MTA and Dovecot as storage with MySql as backend.

I have been running an email solution with an older configuration on Fedora for over 3 years now and its time to upgrade the system

You could as well ask: "Which distribution do you prefer?" ...

I do prefer Slackware and use Postfix as an MTA

Neither Postfix nor Dovecot are available in stock Slackware, but Slackbuilds for both are available @ http://slackbuilds.org/

A Slackbuild is a script that you run to compile a package for Slackware.

HTH,

Thanks for your reply Didier.

Maybe, I should rephrase my question.

Which linux distribution has the least overhead at base install?

I will check out slackware as u suggested

+1 for CentOS. Other considerations may be Ubuntu Server LTS or Debian. My personal preference would be CentOS or Debian.
