e-mail bounce

i have my mail server setup and can login to squirrel mail and it seems to send out email when ihit send but i am not receiving it but i have put in my ISPs relay server in the relay host setting under the postfix.conf file.

if i try to email an address setup on the server i get a bounce saying the domain is not hosted here.

does anyone know what this could be.

That sounds like a dns issue. What does your dns provider have for the mx records? Also if this is a setup in your house you may also have issues with your ISP blocking you.

i have setup dns records on the server as some people are saying they had a similar issue with hosting domains through the same provider, and that it might the trying to check there records against the ones on my server an when it cant then refusing to allow it through.

i will see how it goes. If my ISP is blocking this is there any other way around this or not.
