DYNDNS.org and website

This is a really stupid question but I understand what DYNDNS.org does by allowing you to associate DYNDNS.org hostname with a dynamic ip and its free but I wanted to know if there is a client that will do the same thing but update your domain registrar for free? I know that DYNDNS.org has a pay option that will do so.

On top of ddclient :

ddns3-client
ez-ipupdate
inadyn
ipcheck
...

All available from any (good... aka apt-get) package manager. Search for "dyndns".

My router has a build in feature that does this automagically. Yours might not, but it's worth looking into.

ddclient is a client software from dyndns.org so it will only update the ip address that is registered with them. I need a client that will my domain registrar with the changed ip address so that I will not have to manually change it. low end router have a dyndns section but once again you have to have a registered account or pay for there hosted DNS zones service and then it will update your domain registrar with the changed ip.
