Difference between Ubuntu Desktop and Ubuntu server

Hi,

There is a Bit of confusion in my mind regarding Ubuntu desktop and Ubuntu server.. according to i think Ubuntu server is come with all the complete server package there is nothing to do more to install any services like Appache web server, sambha etc.. it contain all the services.. on the other hand in Ubuntu desktop we have a blank OS without any server services we can manually install all the services to use them.If i am right or some extra information except all above then please tell me in detail.
