dell open manage on cent os 5.4


i need help installing dell open mange on cento5.4. i downloaded the latest packages from dell site for redhat 5. when i run the srvadmin-install.sh i get unrecognized OS. i am guessing its a dependence but not sure where to go from here.

There is a yum repository for it here. The packages you're using might not like what you have in /etc/redhat-release, but the ones from the repo work on CentOs.

ok i got it install using yum install srvadmin-all. then i ran srvadmin-services.sh start.

how do i access it from the web now or the cli?

i have never ran open manage on linux, obviously.

From the cli, you can use omreport to view things and omconfig to change the config. It's also accessible via a web (https) interface on port 1311. The documentation is here.
