Cups architecture question

Hi all,

I'm kind of new here (I posted quite a bit, helping others since last week) but I need advice on CUPS, which I've never really touched before...

I have to come up with this kind of scheme:

----------------------
Windows print server
----------------------

--------------------
Master CUPS server
--------------------

------------------- ------------------- -------------------
|Slave CUPS server | |Slave CUPS server | |Slave CUPS server |
------------------- ------------------- -------------------

The process is:

Each Slave CUPS server is an app server which just spools the printing jobs to the master, which, through Samba, prints the totality of print jobs on the Windows server.

I want to know if this is a realistic solution and could someone please point me to some doc that could help me. I've done reading myself, just haven't come across anything useful yet...

Thanks.

Looks like each slave server (in it /etc/cups/client.conf) should address the master server (see #ServerName myhost.domain.com) in the client.conf.

Here's something to read. While it's from Suse, and it doesn't give specifics, it gives the general idea.
