checking my server error log

Hello,
my vps is running Debian 6 (squeeze) 32
when check my server error log

Quote:

# /var/log/apache2/error.log

got Permission denied message

Code:

 /var/log/apache2/error.log: Permission denied

please how can i fix that

Hi,

Use some program to view the logs, e.g.

Code:

cat /var/log/apache2/error.log 
tail /var/log/apache2/error.log

From the output looks like the log file is empty.
