CentOS 5 Squid setup question

I've never set up squid on a server before. I found a number of "cookbook" pages via Google that seemed to help. Here's one: http://www.baremetalcloud.com/index....rver-on-centos

I got through everything just fine until the part where the authors say to add this to /etc/sysconfig/iptables

"-A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -m state --state NEW,ESTABLISHED,RELATED -m tcp -p tcp --dport 3128 -j ACCEPT"

I do and restart iptables. I get an error. What might I have done wrong? There are too many moving parts here...
