This si the first time I see this personally, so that is why I am in need for help.
I have a Fedora 9 Linux server, that acts as my Firewall ( IPTABLES ) and as my Proxy server ( Gateway server )
Now ...
When I change my firefox to browse direct without going via my Proxy, I can browse everything 100 % ( firewall rules are 100 % )
When I change my firefox to use my proxy, I can browse everything except secure sites .... that is the problem ... simple .... but just can't fix it.
I have been doing Linux for 10 years now, squid proxy servers are one thing I enjoy and have installed 100's of servers ... Have not changed any major config in the squid.conf file, so it must be soething to do with Fedora 9, Selinux or shit knows what ;-)
I installed Internet Explorer, and it worked ... shhhh , don't tell anyone ....
At least I know that my configs are 100 % ... I hate it when Microsoft works and Open source doesn't ;-)
Chances are Firefox isn't set up correctly. There are lots of options to pick for SSL, and the wrong one will make it not work. Did you try using another browser, like konqueror or opera, and see if they work?

Firefox is set up correctly, not very difficult ;-)

Yes, not very difficult. What SSL and TLS settings do you have??? Since you're only having problems with https sites, and it works from other browsers, it kinda points to a browser problem. Konqueror is part of KDE, and should already be available......
