options bond0 miimon=100 mode=active-backup
i made a alias hear & u didn't, rest of the config is same
i did the change as u say but no changes happen at machine, nic failover not working. now can u tell me whether u tested it at your machine & found that it work for u, or u just guess/suggest ???
o man, i know everything works fine in physical server.
did your read first page of my thread ?? it's a vm machine man
so go to the main page & read it then you can understand where i am stacking
I am aware of your environment. I just asked you to try and check the same on VM. That's how you learn things and make them work. Else we might not be here on the forum.
hi all
i just faced this problem this day
the problem is with the NIC driver on the linux how don't disable the
physical port on the network switch
try to shut down one port on the switch to triger the change over
and no impact will happen to the connection
You may want to try below option at /etc/modprobe.conf
fail_over_mac=1
e.g.
options bond0 miimon=100 mode=active-backup fail_over_mac=1
Although it has the downside behavior, it may solve your problem. You may want to further consult with manual for your requirement.
