Check the files in /var/log for clues.

Also, it's quite possible there was a power fluctuation that caused that machine to restart, even if other equipment didn't. It could just be a sensitive power supply.

i checked the /var/log/messages nothing in it. Also there is no power issue as other servers are getting into that and they are also good.

is there any othere reason to get the server reboot automatically?

Thanks

If you can safely rule out, without exception, a short powerloss of a second or two that can cause a reset then I would suggest the following, but on no authority.

1- are you using control panel software? Some versions do 'spontaneously reboot' at times for no reason whatsoever. Earlier versions of ensim on fedora love to do that. If you are using a control panel, I would hunt down searches on the web to see others with the same issue.

2- are there others who have access to your shell for any reason? Does your server deal with more than just websites (game server, pbx, etc?) Depending on what your server does, perhaps there is access to shell via a program that caused it or some user has privledges he should not have.

3- cosmic rays. I have been sitting here at my house...just reading something on the screen. No power surge, no nothing. Sunny day....boom, windows computer just restarts itself.

4- ask datacenter to check power plugs and other plugs.

5- visit datacenter and make sure all connections inside are 'pushed' in all the way. One thing 'just out of kilter' can cause intermittent issues once in a while.

6- is it dedicated server, colo? shared? at your house, colo? do you control all aspects of the computer or is it in someone elses hands?

Other than that, I would not worry unless it happened again.
