assign hot spare for a meta device

Hi,

I have created a raid5 volume with 3 raid devices, after that only i think about the hot spare. For that I increased the no: of raid devices using --grow, but how i can add the new raid device as a hot spare??

Thanks,

(1) what does mdadm -D /dev/md0 (or /dev/md1 or whatever your device is) output?

(2) Please ask the moderator to merge your now 3 or 4? threads on this subject together. You don't need to open a new thread when pursuing the same problem, and it makes it difficult for people to help or learn from the thread. Just click Report and ask nicely please.
