Smile Apache upgrade


Dear all,

Currently iam running linux apache server and it has the version 2.2.3 and i want to upgrade my apache to latest version through repository whether it is possible.

Can I ask WHY you want to? What's so good about it? stick to distro vendor supplied packages when possible, don't chase numbers.

You really need to start providing more information in your posts. What distro are you using etc... you need to help us help yo in general.

I have got lot of vulnerability in this apache server tat's y i need to upgrade up apache version and can u please help how to safe upgrade my apache to latest version through repository

please say what distro you're using... if you're using redhat / centos then their "old" packages will be MORE SECURE than the new ones. don't chase numbers. read pacakge changelogs and understand what you are running.

Iam running Centos 5.3 and i want upgrade my apache 2.2.3 to apache 2.4.2 through rpm or repository

right, so DON'T. Give me a REAL reason why you think you need to do this, rather than just wanting the latest and greatest and least secure?
