Apache page serve problem

Greetings,

I had to reinstall my web server (upgrade to FC9 went way bad... don't ask) and for some reason now when serving some pages restored from the backup (just userdata, this is a plain-jane Fedora 9 install from the CD ROM) instead of punctuation characters (' " etc ) it's drawing blocks and other non-ASCII stuff unless I change IE's view/encoding to ISO or Windows instead of UTF.

I seem to remember this being a PHP module or something I didn't install the last time I saw it but I've been at this for a while and honestly my brain is too fried and I can't seem to remember the fix.

http://www.mosaicmusings.net for the sample, check the difference between ISO and UTF-8. The AddDefaultCharset ISO-8859-1 doesn't seem to make a difference.

TIA all.

Yea, looks like the AddDefaultCharset Off thing did work but doesn't change the page enough for F5 to refresh it properly. I had to clear my cache before the change would show up.

Thanks for lookin.
