windows KeepassX not compatible with Linux KeepassX
KeePassX 2.0 alpha 6 Windows can't save as .kdb, and there is no export choice under: Menu Bar | Database
I switch between Lubuntu 14.04 and Win 7 Starter daily(dual boot netbook). I save my password database while in linux with keepassX 1.x as *.kdb. But then I restart, come back into Windows and when I start up KeepassX 2.0 alpha 6, even though I can import *.kdb, Windows KeePassX 2.0 alpha 6 doesnt have the option to save/export as *.kdb. Only as *.kdbx, *.kdbx is the only option! This renders Windows KeepassX and Linux KeePassX totally incompatible, because when ever someone opens kdbx in KeepassX linux the program reports the password as incorrect or non-compatible.
YES I AM SURE THAT MY PASSWORD IS CORRECT!!!!! How can you be sure that I am? Because when I restart and then boot up to Windows, I start KeePassX, select the database and enter the exact same password, and it opens normally. Therefore my password really is correct!
This means when I am on Windows I will have no way to save new and then later import to linux KeepassX. Am I missing a plug-in? On windows I installed this through choclatey via:
choco install keepassx -y,
and on linux I installed through synaptic package manager.
What can I do? Should we linux users use something other than keepassX when in Windows? How to save new account names and passwords while in Windows and then later use them in linux keepassX? I really don't like the regular Windows "KeePass" nor linux Keepass2 because they aren't multilingual, and quite a few of my file/folder names are in Chinese.

[Solved]
The solution is to use KeePass 1.29 in windows, not the KeePass 2.28 that I originally installed by the choco command. In linux, use KeePassX.
KeePass 1.29 has multilingual support, which is unlike Windows KeePass 2.28 nor linux's KeePass2 which only display blocks for file/folder names with Han characters.
Furthermore, when in Keepass 1.29(Windows) you have the option of hitting the down arrow when saving, and *.kdb is an option, unlike Windows KeePass 2.28 or linux Keepass2(which only have *.kdbx).
When in linux, since I don't like using Wine, I use KeePassX. In my home lubuntu 14.04 environment KeePassX opens kdb files created on windows with KeePass 1.29 quite well.
