Alright im looking for something new to try. Lately I have been using SSLstrip and its great. However, i am looking to use something else! Or perhaps expand my knowledge on this program. If you have any ideas or guides then please post away. Thanks guys!
Dirty,
Unfortunately, I believe LQ does not want this information disseminated here; the nature of the information is such that it may be abused by half-wits who watched too many Angelina Jolie movies. You'll have to stick with google.
Posts containing information about cracking, piracy, warez, fraud or any topic that could be damaging to either LinuxQuestions.org or any third party will be immediately removed.
Dirtydog, since you started "hanging" here you have continued to repeatedly flaunt this type of activity, skirting on the edge of the policies and practices of LQ. I think you are doing this deliberately and the fact that you think you are getting away with something is providing you with a feeling of empowerment. To be totally honest, until reading your posts, aside from assuming that these kinds of tools exist, I was not aware of the specific tools Ettercap and SSLstrip, but then I haven't gone looking for them either. I am now aware of them and undoubtedly so are a lot of others thanks to your posts. I also think that this is part of your intent.
Obviously you posses some measure of skill and are in need of a challenge. Ones have been recommended to you in other posts, yet you continue to 'poke' where you shouldn't.
@dirtydog: IMHO, while ettercap has a lot of value as an analysis utility (in addition to being used for attacks), sslstrip strikes me as a purely offensive / malicious utility.
If you're here to learn, then state your goal, and solicit suggestions. If your stated goal is to discover more tools like [attack utility foo] and [attack utility bar], then you've come to the wrong place.
