Definitely worth the 9 minutes to watch, thank you for sharing.

Here is a list of takeaways I have from the video and I think they make good discussion points:
  1. Don't root/jailbreak the phone. It provides root level access to potentially untrusted applications
  2. The malware quickly evolved from a simple trojan to a sophisticated piece of software that was potentially botnet capable
  3. Don't obtain your apps from untrusted sources
  4. watch the permissions that an application is asking for. For example, should a game be asking for SMS access?
  5. Android is playing catchup in the security realm, especially in regards to enterprise security policy
