Unhappy Squid + proxy browser


hi..

i am using squid proxy for internet sharing.. i blocked all mailing sites (ex gmail, yahoo,rediff) but i allow people to browsing google.com and all

now the people are using online proxy browsers to access gmail, yahoo

hwo to stop this using squid kindly help me.. to do

If you're already blocking some sites, block the proxy browsing sites too.

You should also have non-technical measures in place, such as an AUP. That is, assuming you're in an environment where you can actually enforce an AUP, because if you can't, then it's pointless. If, however, users are aware that bypassing the network restrictions can affect their employment, they might be a lot less likely to do this sort of thing. Even if they do continue doing it, you'll at least have measures you can take beyond Squid ACLs.
