Samba security

Is there way to set directories so only certain users are able to see them, i understand i can turn browsable to NO, but then that turns it into a hidden share, is there anyway to make it user specific? i'm trying to make it so that some users see a certain folder as say "Folder X" which is writeable and have some users see it as "Folder Y" Which is read only. thanks.
