Replace Login Screen?

Hello,

Im trying to change the default LOGIN Screen with some Customized options such as voice verification.. in fedora (2.4 kernel, linux)
rather than password .

my question is

1.can we change the login screen assuch and replace with customized screen?

2.Can we replace passwords with voice or fingerprint data?

3.how to go about in this?

any help would be extremely helpful..

Sure. Check the source packages.

2.Can we replace passwords with voice or fingerprint data?
Sure. All you need is voice or fingerprint hardware and a voice or fingerprint subsystem (kernel driver and userland utilities) and a voice or fingerprint PAM module :-]

3.how to go about in this?
Ahh. If Google doesn't show up any projects on this you'll have to code 'em yourself :-]
