Question about output of dmesg command.

I tried to find out what this mean, but without success. Is there any manual, howto, etc to recommend me about above logs.

Regards

I think this is usually caused by your local looback, "lo", not befing defined or up. The IP addresses are actually important for verifying that though. Please include the display of "ifconfig -a" and "route".

Hi,

They are probably the result of a traceroute.

ICMP type 11 = time excedd message
code 0 = Time to live (TTL) equals 0 during transit.

Here are 2 URL's explaining it in more detail:

http://www.networksorcery.com/enp/pr...icmp/msg11.htm
http://cities.lk.net/trproto.html

Hope this clears things up a bit.
