I use pine and i want to send encypted mail to friend. My friend use pine too.
Encryption must be simple to use (i mean fast switch to encrypt. mode).
Do you have some ideas ?

Look for GPG for Pine. If you install the default filters it'll ask you before sending to sign+encrypt. Couldn't be easier.

I have some problems...

###############################
# In PINE I type ^X, ^N and see this: #

You have multiple secret keys. Listed below are the keys. Please select one.
If you always use the same key, set it in your .pgp4pinerc!

a: *** DEFAULT SIGNING KEY *** <*** DEFAULT SIGNING KEY ***>
Type: RSA Bits: 2048 ID: 0x8BBB8EE5

b: pine <pine>
Type: RSA Bits: 2048 ID: 0xDDD26BBB

Please enter a valid selection [a]: # a or b - no difference
Please wait ...

Checking recipients ...

somemail@mailserver.com... - no key found

Your recipient list has unknown keys. You may:
a) Sign the message
b) Send it unmodified
c) Open a shell to add their key manually,
q) Abort and Quit

Make your choice [a]:

######################################################
AND so on. i don't like this "no key found" i'll be glad to hear your ideas. My default key in pgp6 is "pine" user.
And one more. What i have to put in .pgp4pinerc than it use the same key ?

Like it sez:

Your recipient list has unknown keys.
You will also need (to import) the public keys of your recipients.

In any case you could read some Pine+PGP(or GPG) FAQ.

Could you *please* first read the manual and documentation that came with PGP, try some, and *then* ask?
If you ask, could you provide us with the commands and the output of what you tried and where it failed?

TIA

It looks a lot like you need to exchange public keys with the people that you are sending email to.

Ok, i understand what you mean. You think that i never read manuals?
I try to search for PGP and pine on google. There is only help how to
fix filters or other information that is not helpful for me. Maybe you
found something good ? Than put here link.

I mean when i send mail encrypted, it write `no key found`
I realy don't know what info to post. I have already posted my error.
Say to me what info i must to post. When i encrypt some file with PGP
normal (pgp -e textfile) with pine key, it encrypt normal. I think that pine
can't find the key(maybe not?).

IMO that depends on which receiver key you are using. If for instance you use "encrypt to self", meaning using your own key, it might well turn out OK, but if you where to use someone else's key you get errors with in Pine, it should fail as well.

To get the public key part for the receiver PGP (-k) sez you should do "pgp -kv <userid> <PGP server URL>".

Dunno what you mean to say with all of this, but it's got me baffled. Either you fail at conveying the real problem or you don't understand what we've said before and are stubbornly doing the same thing over and over w/o listening. I sincerely hope someone else has the patience to do a FUP, cuz I have to admit I ain't got none left.

My sincere apologies.
