Password

Hi! I am a newbie.

What do I do to increase the password string length? I use Suse 8.2. The maximum it accepts when I give a passwd command is 8 characters.

Thanks in advance.

http://www.stanford.edu/group/itss-c...-HOWTO-1.html, it has a reason for this, i think the new verosn of shadow passwords includes some shorta md5 suport as i saw the file "md5.h" in the source when i was compiling

Sorry.
There must be something wrong at my end.
I got reply from www.stanford.edu (171.67.16.66) when I pinged it. But from IE it is not accessible.
