i notice that almost every pc in my LAN is open netbios-ssn 139 port. how can i telnet using this port? or any methods make use of this port to control the pc....thanks....
oh... i have LinNeighborhood installed in my linux box.... my question is that, how can i make use of this port to control the pc? or rather i can say is that, i want to do telnet through 139 port... can i? thanks
First off you cannot telnet to a windows box on 139 unless you have a telnet server runnign on that windows box accepting connections on that port. My windows computer connects to my linux box on port 139 for netbio name resolution via Samba. (Or LinNeighborhood I would assume) This feature can be turned on or off.
But once connected to the PC via telnet, you may "control" it yes.
