Choice is varied and support also. Depending on the thickness of skin of the person asking for said support and a willingness to try and understand the suggestions given.
One can look at the ground all day and contemplate digging a ditch. But till you pick up the shovel. It is a moot point.
Arch Linux, has great documentation and repos. Support Forum? Wear some armour or get a sense of humor. Debian forums can rough on the rubes also. Ubuntu forums can be a large swamp that swallows one up never to be seen again. Mint forums can be hit or miss sometimes also.
Slackware also. But I have posted threads that sat in limbo. On this forum. Till I figured things out for myself.

I just use Debian because I am not as young as I once was and am set in my ways of doing things.
