iptables to block ip from ftp

Is this how I would do that?


iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --destination-port 21 -d ! 168.192.1.2 -j DROP

This should block all incoming connections on port 21 from 192.168.1.2, correct? Thus preventing that IP from logging into my FTP.

No. It's preventing logging to any ftp except 168.192.1.2... nonsense.
iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --destination-port 21 -s 168.192.1.2 -j DROP - This should block all incoming connections on port 21 from 192.168.1.2.
-d - destination, -s - source. ! - except.
