Help securing a Fedora 17 Web Server + Nginx

Hey everyone I need some help in securing my server I am looking for anything to better the security of the server. There is one directory that I am trying to keep out of site is there any ways to possibly hide this file or maybe redirect it? Any help I can get would be much appreciated!

Install CentOS 6.3 FIRST

that is unless YOU WANT TO AND LIKE TO
REINSTALL ALL THE SOFTWARE ON a server EVERY 6 MONTHS
