Unhappy GaurdDOG


hallo guys
im just new for Mandrake 9.1 and i installed a firewall but unable to configure! its's "guarddog-2.0.0.tar.gz"

1st of all ik unpacked it ...
cd folder...
./configure
make
make install
...
but i don't know how am i gonna start it up while i"m on internet!
plz. help me thanx.

Have you tried simply typing guarddog?

It should appear on the main menu as well.

Basically guarddog is their to write iptables for you, once activated their permantly on. So no need to switch on and off

Try the 2.1.8 version, it'll be the latest stable release very soon.
To test it's working, try opening the Guarddog window and disable http for the internet, and then try browsing. Or try some online firewall testing site.
