FreeRADIUS and OPENSSL

I would like to use EAP-PEAP as my authentication method for my wireless network. I couldnt find much information from the freeRADIUS.org about PEAP authentication so I decided to go with EAP-TLS. I found this article on linuxjournal.com

http://www.linuxjournal.com/article/8095

My question is:

When creating certificates, is it the same for all of the authentication methods like EAP-TLS and EAP-PEAP.In other words the method of creating the certificates using the directions from linuxjournals be the same for creating certificates for a EAP-PEAP setup as well? The reason that I am asking this is for simplification. Since I cannot find much info on PEAP and freeRADIUS I just assumed that I could just take the certificates that I created for EAP-TLS and just use them for EAP-PEAP. Can somebody clarify this?
