Firewall question


I am a noob, I would like to know how to setup a simple firewall, i know this has probably been asked a zillion times, I have RH9, Kde, Opera7. Thanks

Yes, there are many threads concerning firewalls.
For more detailed information, you can perform a search on LQ.

If you want to configure a firewall, you can use the iptables command or GUI tools.

Or just edit the config file it is straight forward enough.

Where is the config file located? I just downloaded Firestarter, Is it any good?, It seems really easy to use, does it work? Thanks

Not sure where the config files for firestarter is located I use iptables. It should however be located some where in the /etc directory. You could also read the UNIX manual page for firestarter to find this info.
