Ok I went to the site, read it. But it didn't answer my question. How do find and install iptable. And how can I pass port 10000 through!

if you want to use the default tool that comes witht the distribution, look for gnome-lokkit. But would be better off creating the rules manually.

7.2 comes with both ipchains and iptables. You will have to disable ipchains to let iptables run. you can

# rpm -e ipchains

to remove ipchains totally. In that case, if memory serves me right, you won't be able to use lokkit.

Thanks, that's what I needed to here.

So you are telling me that ipchains and iptables will not work together. One has to be off. In my case ipchains has to be off. Correct?

If that's the case, I will give it try and let you know.
