Angry Error because I delete the default login user

I pretend give a machine that runs 2006 to my son. I create a new user for him. Then I logged in as root and delete the user that I was using for me. This deleted login user was the default user when I boot Mandriva 2006.

Now, when I boot Mandriva 2006 it reports an error of authentication of the deleted user and tell me to see KM files...

Is there a way to fix this problem? Why linux let me delete the default login user and doesn't give an error or assume a new one as default?

How do I proceed if I need to do this again?

Greetings from Sao Paulo - Brazil

Ricardo

maybe login as root and configure the auto-login user (in the control center) to be your son's account??

Problem solved by this mean. Thank you very much!

A good threat would be report this error to KDE development team. IMHO it would be impossible delete the default login user. Even by root user. You must change the default login user and then delete the old one.
