Entires in Apache Web Log - OPTIONS/PROPFIND

I don't really understand these messages in my weblog.

I know one was accepted, the other not allowed. I would like to know what the attempt was trying to accomplish.

66.24.242.90 - - [05/Mar/2005:13:59:45 -0800] "OPTIONS / HTTP/1.1" 200 2654 "-" "Microsoft-WebDAV-MiniRedir/5.1.2600"
66.24.242.90 - - [05/Mar/2005:13:59:46 -0800] "PROPFIND /C HTTP/1.1" 405 1011 "-" "Microsoft-WebDAV-MiniRedir/5.1.2600"

Also is there a way to test and send messages to your machine yourself so you can test blocking of these types of messages? Or place to find out what these commands are trying to accomplish.

Thanks
