I thought I saw a similar thread earlier.

Anyway, you have now learned to diagnose permission problems, and the things that can prevent success.

Now, you need to learn about SELinux so that you can configure a policy to allow yourself the ability to copy (via command line) to the ftp directory.

Best of luck.

Please post your thread in only one forum. Posting a single thread in the most relevant forum will make it easier for members to help you and will keep the discussion in one place. This thread is being closed because it is a duplicate of http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...n-deny-659694/.

Also you should create a new thread if you have a new question that does not relate to your original post.
I have split off your "Yum" problem to its own thread, see http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...roblem-660078/.
