client hostname logging in squid

Hi!
I want to log the hostnames of the client machines (running on Windows XP professional)accessing the Internet. In my squid.conf file I have already done the following changes.

#TAG:ident_lookup_access
ident_lookup_access allow all

But this doesn't seem to work.

well can you do a reverse lookup in the first place? squid will be trying to, but if doesn't just already work with your internal DNS, then squid clearly has no chance.

as for ident, forget about ident.
