Win a subscription to Linux Pro Magazine courtesy of LQ

I'm happy to announce that we're able to give away some gratis 1 year (12 issue) subscriptions to Linux Pro Magazine to celebrate LQ recently turning 10. There are currently two ways to be eligible for this free subscription.

* We'll randomly select one member who logs in between now and July 14th. That's right; to be eligible for one of the subscriptions, all you need to do is log into LQ!

* We'll randomly select 2 members who post to the LQ Suggestions & Feedback forum between now and July 14th. This can be a new thread or a reply, a suggestion or just general feedback. Any valid post makes you eligible.

We'll post the winners here on July 14th. The default selection for each winner will be one digital subscription. Any winning member who resides in North America will also have the option of receiving a standard print subscription. For more information on Linux Pro Magazine (who will soon be celebrating their 10th year as well), visit http://www.linuxpromagazine.com/.

Note, we'll also be giving away one additional subscription on both facebook and twitter, so be sure to keep an eye on:

* Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/LinuxQuestions.org

Jeremy, do you have some affiliation with Linux Pro Magazine, or are you buying the subscription privately in the name of the winner? Also, with print subscriptions, will they be with or without the DVDs?

2ck,

I'm not sure whether the print subscriptions come with or without the DVDs, but I can get that information from the folks at Linux Pro if you're a winner and choose print.

The chances to win on twitter and facebook are now both live as well:

* Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/LinuxQuestions.org

Hi Jeremy,

Is this open to people regardless of where you're from?

Cheers,
Steve

The contest is open to all LQ members regardless of location and the default is for a digital subscription. If the winner if located in North America, they have the option of receiving a print subscription but retain the option of choosing digital.

I like Linux Magazine( Linux Pro Magazine in the USA and Canada ). I'd really like a free full year subscription, as I imagine most others would too, , but JIC it does not happen I'd like to point out that they have a limited special going on and the non "randomly chosen" people might want to take a look at the Trial Subscription offer for 3 months including 3 DVDs of software with a full Linux distro in each one.

They do not mention it but one does get a choice of Linux Pro Magazine, Special Editions or Ubuntu User magazine as well as a choice of start date(all the way back to March!) in the trial. The hard part is deciding when to start! ( Current and previous issue information here: http://www.linux-magazine.com/Issues/2010 )

It's just 3 bucks(USD) ...

[...]
I recognize this is like an advertisement but it is the same theme as the thread which in itself is an advertisement for LPM so I hope moderators will allow this "consolation offer" information.

Thanks for the links rjcooks. Congratulations to our twitter winner Crashbox. There's less than 24 hours left for your chances to win here on LQ and on facebook.
