One of the main goals of LQ is to help members get questions about Linux answered. One way we help facilitate this is with the "Zero Reply" functionality, which allows you to easily find threads with no replies. In the spirit of helping other LQ members and based on feedback from previous efforts, we're making the "Zero Reply Drive" a quarterly event here at LQ. The latest LQZRD will start at noon today (LQDT) and run for 96 hours. During that time, I invite everyone to click http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...p?do=noreplies and attempt to answer as many questions as they can.

Keep in mind that if you'd like to search for threads on specific topics that have 0 replies, you can do so using the advanced search (Find Threads with -> At Most -> 0 Replies).

If you have any ideas on how we can further facilitate questions being answered at LQ, please let us know in this thread.

Thanks or [SOLVED] threads or some such during the drive? Maybe
that won't promote answering when the drive isn't on, though.

Suggestion:
Assign some special title beneath the usernames of all those members who answer those zero reply threads till the next Zero-reply drive starts.

Post #2 said 334, so we can assume that at least 83 threads have been removed from the list. Though this does not account for new threads that were added and then removed.

A suggestion: Make the drive run over the week not over the weekend ... as you probably already know there are fewer people here on the weekends.

The drives are currently based on dates, without much regard for day of the week.

Talk about a humbling experience ... I did not know that there was so much that i did not know about Linux OS. I knew there was quite a bit but my goodness!, ima a real d*a*s ... .

The enormous number of distribution level variables makes my head hurt. Seems like all subjects need to be classified under distro first and issue area second. Sort-of makes me long for the old days when Linux was Linux and not Mandriva-linux, *suse-linux, Slackware-linux, *buntu-linux, ...(hundreds)-linux.

Maybe I should sign posts as ...

I cannot do any more ...my head hurts(really, it does -kinda of a numbness like sitting though lectures on quantum mechanics).

That's a nice idea, since on an average the first 4 reply posts are usually queries regarding the distro, configuration etc and I would like to add the following to it:

The quarterly LQ Zero Reply Drive if officially over, and here's the final number:
