Hello, I've been a Mac user all my life and only at the urging of my Linux-head friends did I decide to install Yellow Dog Linux on my Mac, but I'm rather confused. I have a Quicksilver G4 that runs Mac OS 9.2 and OS X at the same time, which means I can switch between disks. Is there a way for me to install YDL so it acts like my other two OSs, meaning can I switch between Mac and Linux like I do OS 9 and OS X? I've been reading throught the installation guide at yellowdoglinux.org and I'm confused as to how I install YDl without erasing all the data already on my computer. Can someone help clear up my state of confusion?

Well there is an article on the YDL website which may address your question.
I think you can find some answers here to resolve your query. I have not attempted to have OS9 and OSX running with YDL 2.3 at the same time. I erased the OS9.2.2 partition on my ibook 2001 and used this to install YDL.
