xmms media player


would anyone please tell me how can I configure xmms so it can become my default mediaplayer.

can anyone please tell me how can I configure xmms to rip mp3 files

When you click on mp3s if it gives you a choice--something like open with--on windows the first box on the bottom is to make it the default. If something other than XMMS is the default player i think you can figure it out just like you do with winamp... And ripping mp3s <~~i am not sure if you can do that but if you can you should be able to do it the same way with winamp... Its almost the same thing as winamp.
