X Windows--dpkg errors

Hi--
I was a little careless when I upgraded some of my system files over the weekend and deleted X Windows and potentially some other files. I re-installed X-Windows today using apt-get install x-window-system, but my system couldn't fully configure everything and the following errors popped up.

Setting up xfs-xtt (1.4.1.xf430-1)...
chown: failed to get attributes of '/var/log/xfs-xtt': No such file or directory
dpkg: error processing xfs-xtt (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
xfs-xtt
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

I'm not sure what this means or what I need to do to fix it. Any ideas?
