workspace setup in KDE

my linux kde3.3 workstation has 4 work-spaces. I open up multiple applications include xterms in workspace #1 and these applications will appear at the bottom as tab. When i switch to workspace #2, the applications tab will follow together (did not select visible in all workspace). How could I disable it? Last time i used gnome, it did not have this problem.

IIRC from when I used KDE 3, the thing the bottom panel is called the Task Manager. If you right click on the far left edge you should be able to get a context menu with a configuration or settings option on it. Somewhere in the configuration options is an option to show windows from all workspaces. Untick it. It's on by default which I always thought was daft.

Are you really using KDE 3.3? I mean, the last version of KDE 3 line was 3.5.10 and 3.4 came out six years ago. Why still be using KDE 3.3?
