Working with WINE

Hai,

Please tell me how to work with the WINE. How I could come to know that the WINE is installed in my computer? . If so how I can start the service?. How I can use it for my windows programs ? and finally waht all programmes generally can be done using the WINE?

wine is not a service, it's a program.

wine notepad.exe

within the first month of using linux, most people find wine and assume it works, most people then find out it doesn't. don't try and pin all your hopes on some *very* beta software, try to find native applications, and only look to wine as a last resort.
