Won't Boot

I have installed College Linux 7 times in the past day, but it just won't boot. Everytime I reboot the computer I get a "L 02 02 02 02" keep scrolling acorss the screen. I guess I am not setting up LILO right, can someone walk me through how to do it in College Linux 2.5 installer?

02 normally indicates that something is wrong with your harddrive. Can you post your /etc/lilo.conf file?

Correction, now it just says "L" at the top right and nothing else.

Ive not used college linux but can you get to a command prompt somehow using your cd?
if so try mounting your linux install to an empty directory then chrooting to it
chroot /pathto/linuxinstalldir/
