I like Linux but I am going to give up on Opensues 12.2 and probably will. To much stress and don't like my blood pressure going up over this stupid sh**.. Loaded it no problem, it loaded everything even my printer crap. My Ralink USB Chipset V2.3 wireless adapter even picks up my network. I have clicked and entered my network sign in info countless times with no success (example: ip address, network name, network password, you name it. Nothing when I click Firefox, says not found. Rebooted machine and unplugged and replug usb adapter. My network is there no doubt I am looking at it in the list, actually Ralink is picking up a couple beside mine. Opensues has potential but when when it's this much of a headache just connecting to the Internet it's not worth the time and trouble. I have been working with computers (software/hardware since 1999) so I'm not a beginner. I am new to Linux but have loaded Ubuntu and Mint with no problem. I have four OS on my computer. 1 Windows XP and 3 Linux's. Opensues is getting the boot if this problem can't be fixed.
1. Please don't write in red. I find it very difficult to read.
2. Have you done a search using something like opensuse wifi setup
3. There are many hits: here's one that may be of use. http://www.swerdna.net.au/susenic.html
If you don't like that one, there are many others.

Okay, so I went to http://www.swerdna.net.au/susenic.html printed the instructions, rebooted to Opensues.. Realized as I was doing everything as instructed on the print out, I have already done these very same steps countless times now. Sooooooo, thought let's do this again and maybe something will click. So I did, same thing again, I get to scan wireless networks, it finds mine and shows a couple more (no doubt my wireless usb adapter works) I do as instructed on the print out. Go to Firefox click it and same thing NOT FOUND, tried www.google.com same thing NOT FOUND. I unplugged and replugged the adapter and rebooted. This is really giving me a headache now. Networks around here show up in the scan, just can't connect to the Internet. Someone please help...
I am tired of going in circles. I need a solution, not more community boards, chat, links to more crap that I have already done. I need a solution. Plain and Simple.................
