Question WIPE command questions

Hi Everyone,
I am using wipe to securely clean off a business hard drive. It seems to be working, but it now says its at 110%. Is this normal? Will it hurt the drive if I kill the wipe where it is? This is the first time I've used wipe, but can't find anything on what a normal output is. Any direction for me to investigate would be great.

Thanks in advance.

I've never seen that output but wouldn't say it would bother me; as for
killing the drive - impossible. Not unless it's giving up the ghost
physically anyway, and the extra stress that you're putting on it by
wiping repeatedly (lots of head-movement) takes it over the edge.
