How do i become the wine administrator. I have no clue. And if there is a work around it wont let me download my drivers for my video card in less i am the administrator.
yeah i know, i thought about not putting it, but i did it for simplicity;s sake, if i said wine is an implementation of the windows API it would lead to more questions and his question would not get answered which is the main point of the thread. see, now you've made me go into a tangent.
IM trying to get my Radeon X1650 Video card to work.
i tested my linux driver with this command
su -c 'glxinfo | grep direct'
it does say: direct rendering yes.
I dont know why none of my wine stuff is working though, when i run enemy territory quake wars to test it it thinks that i am running a 64mb video card when i know for damn sure im using a 512mb.
do i need to configure wine to understand that i have that video card or have i missed a step configuring it in linux.(Fedora 8 btw)
