wierd Xmms problem

Hi,
I'm using xmms with fluxbox 0.9.10.I'm encountering this wierd problem, where the Open Files To play option pops up when I start the player. Also I can't make any changes to the config file of xmms. All the changes I make get overwritten.Eg. I changed the coordinates of the player and the equalizer settings, but even after I saved the file and started the system, the file seemed to have reverted back to the defaults. Why is this happening? How can I control this? Please advise.

no idea...I have this same problem with the new fluxbox devel version (and cvs too)...tell if you know I think it's also a part of this problem that my Firefox keeps on telling it's not the default browser (even if I set it to be), if I don't uncheck the option in it's prefences that stops that...fluxbox doesn't seem to save these things or something.

yes, an enlightening post about this would be very nice..

Are you running xmms with the -e option?

Try running it with xmms -e. Adjust your settings from xmms itself (as opposed to the config file), and create a playlist of some sort -- see if it'll even save that, like it's supposed to.
