Why won't my Live CD work?

Okay, I downloaded Linspire Live 4.5.453 in ISO form. Burnt it to a CD, everything checked out okay. I put it in and tried to run it. It brings up the loading screen and asks if I want to run Linspire or the Diognostics. If I say Linspire, it freezes up, I hear my CD drive stop after a moment and it just sticks there. If I say Diognostics, it says it cannot uncompress Linspine and halts the system. What am I missing that I need to run a live CD?

You probably have a badly burnt CD. Try opening the CD on another operating system, and verify that you can read the contents of the file.

Alternativly, this could be a DMA issue caused by a buggy CD drive; try typing in “nodma” when you choose Linspire.
