most of the apps I've found in linux will not let me put a picture(JPEG) on a label keep coming up with file not supported...

What exactly do you mean by putting pictures on a DVD?

Making a Data DVD or a Video DVD, are the images thumbnails, etc.?

most are downloaded pics jpg etc to put on DVDs that have to do with the content My penmanship leaves very much to be desired.as an example I burned the movie 2 lane blacktop and found the original poster set for it, I was able to make up the DVD case cover but not the cover on the DVD itself.using the program Kover and a couple of others .All I could do is put Text on them and this to me looks incomplete.
